30 Days of Blogging: Day Eleven

Day 11 - Another picture of you and your friends.

Okay...
So I am going out on a limb and posting some pics of my friends without really getting the *okay* first
...
Something I don't usually do...
BUT!
They mean the world to me and I posted these pics out of nothing but LOVE!

I love you ALL!

And of course I had to post a pic of my WONDERFUL fiance and SUPER hunny Brian (and our gorgeous daughter)... he is my best friend, my confidant, my champion, my soulmate, and the love of my life!

Blessed Be...

30 Days of Blogging: Day Nine

Day 9 - Something you're proud of in the past few days.

I am proud of myself.
For going back to work after being with my daughter every single day for every waking moment for the first 17 months of her life.
For working part-time (20 hours) in a weekend and making a significant addition to our finances! (GO ME!)
And finally for doing all of this and still managing to spend quality time every single day with my family who means the world to me.
Despite my worries and fears … it can be done!

Blessed Be…

30 Days of Blogging: Day Eight

Day 8 - Short term goals for this month and why.

--I want to hit my 10% (I am a MERE lb. away) by next weigh-in which is next friday Dacember 3rd…
--I want to lose a total of 25 lbs (I am about 4lbs. away) before Christmas...
--I want to make walking/jogging an important part of my routine again!

Why?
Well... because I have felt like I have been in this rut/plateau since the end of September and it is time to kick it up a notch!!!

I CAN DO THIS!
I WILL DO THIS!

Blessed Be…

30 Days of Blogging: Day Seven

Day 7 - A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you.

Another one I didn’t have to give a second thought to – my family!
My immediate family…
Which consists of myself, Brian my fiance, Hunter my 16 year old son, Peyton my 14 year old son, and Skylar our 17 month old daughter.
Yes… we are a blended family, but I think we have blended nicely and relatively easy. I think Skylar helps with that a lot. She is the glue that bonded all of us together – including extended family.

I have said this before… but I would do anything for my family.
ANYTHING!
They are the driving force that keeps me motivated every single day to be a better me. I want to be the best Mom, future wife, friend, and lover I can possibly be!
My family is my life…

Blessed Be…

So What Wednesday...

SO WHAT if…

• In lieu of spending hours buying, prepping, cooking, and serving a lavish Thanksgiving dinner we are going out for dinner!!! *w00ts*
• I took 73 pictures of my daughter at the park yesterday.
• OR that I have filled five photo albums that hold 400 pictures each in the past 17 months. I have two teenage sons – I KNOW how fast the years go and I want to document and remember every second of her little life forever!
• If they have the best sales on Black Friday – I will be NO WHERE near a store, mall, or shopping center!
• We are breaking family tradition and putting up the Christmas tree the night before Thanksgiving (TONIGHT!!!) instead of the night after – we all work in retail; need I say more?
• If I am making my entire family dress in coordinating colors for Thanksgiving so when pictures are taken we look uniform and I am hoping one will be perfect enough to make Christmas cards from – as there is NO WAY in heck I am bringing my family anywhere near the portrait studio I work at anytime before Xmas – I love them way too much for that!
• A three-pack of Stride gum only costs $2.88 – Walmart didn’t put it in my bags and I will go in and complain and get my gum – dangit!
• Xmas is a month away and I haven’t wrapped one gift and still have a significant amount of shopping to do. I am usually done or just about done by this point but this year it just wasn’t happening!
• I used to be a smoker – I am no longer one (for a long time now) and hate that I ever was! Your smelly habit is unhealthy, digusting and you cannot smoke anywhere around me or my family – end of story!
• We don’t believe in the same things – I still love and accept everyone who is kind to me and mine and only want the same in return.
• You have no issue in leaving your baby for 8-10 hours a day every day – I hate leaving mine and am having a really hard time adjusting to not being here with her.
• You think I looked better as a redhead and feel compelled to tell me every single time you see me – I LOVED being a redhead but am having a BLAST being my natural brunette self!
• I drink too much coffee – I have cut down tremedously and it’s the only *vice* I have left!

What are you saying SO WHAT to?
Let us know… join the fun on
Mama Dew’s page!

Blessed Be…

30 Days of Blogging: Day Six

Day 6 - Your favorite Superhero and why.

This one was SO easy… didn’t have to think twice!
WONDER WOMAN!

I have loved Wonder Woman since I was a little girl watching the 1970’s television series starring Lynda Carter. And don’t even get me started on the Superfriends cartoon series! If ever there was a time to pretend to be someone – I was always Wonder Woman!
As I grew older and matured… I still felt this connection to her.

First of all she is a amazon (as am I as I am 5’8” and I always wear 3-4 inch heels)…
Her creator William Moulton Marston wrote of her. “she is a distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men."
She has superpowers which include superhuman strength…
Flight…
Super-speed…
Super-stamina…
AND
Super-agility!
She is highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat AND the art of tactical warfare!
She possesses a Lasso of Truth, , a pair of indestructible bracelets, a tiara which serves as a projectile, and an invisible airplane!!

And last but not least…

SHE IS SEXY AS HECK!

Who wouldn’t love her or want to be her!
I know I do and want to!

Blessed Be…

30 Days of Blogging: Day Five

Day 5 - A picture of somewhere you've been.

This is me – taken March 2008 in Las Vegas!

This was my third trip to Vegas and the motivation for my first time on Weight Watchers. I lost 45 lbs and surpassed my personal goal weight by 2 lbs in preparation for this trip!

This picture symbolizes so much for me.
Success…
Fun…
Happiness…
And feeling like I was on top of the world – both figuratively and literally as I was 28 floors over the Las Vegas Strip and the view was STUNNING! (You can vaguely see The Strip behind me in the pic).

Every time I look at this pic I smile…
I am smiling now!

Blessed Be…
